Simplii Financial e-Transfer Limit (2026): Send and Receive Limits

Updated

Simplii Financial includes free Interac e-Transfers on all accounts and caps what you send at $3,000 per 24-hour period, with running totals of $10,000 per rolling 7-day period, $30,000 per rolling 30-day period. Simplii describes all three as rolling windows that count back from each transfer, and says they can’t be raised on request.

Because there is no separate per-transfer cap, one transfer can use the whole 24-hour amount. The room then comes back 24 hours after that transfer, not at midnight.

Moving more than the limit

Simplii lets you link an account you own at another Canadian bank under Manage External Accounts in online banking and move money between the two. Simplii publishes less detail on these transfers than on e-Transfers, so confirm the limit and timing with Simplii at 1-888-723-8881 before relying on one for a large payment. Simplii’s wires go through CIBC, and the CIBC wire transfer page covers how CIBC handles them.

Sending and receiving at Simplii

Simplii keeps e-Transfers in its Send Money menu, both in the app and at simplii.com; Autodeposit registration sits in the e-Transfer settings. If your email or phone is already registered for Autodeposit at another bank, that registration has to be removed before Simplii can use it. How sending, receiving and Autodeposit work in general is covered in the Interac e-Transfer guide.

Simplii’s caps are compared with other banks’ in the e-Transfer limits comparison; CIBC, which owns Simplii, sets its own limits on the CIBC e-Transfer page. Simplii’s ATM and mobile-deposit limits are in the bank limits hub, and its fees are on the Simplii review.
