Burnaby sits between Vancouver and the Tri-Cities, and its resale figures come from Greater Vancouver REALTORS (GVR). GVR doesn’t price Burnaby as one market: its MLS® Home Price Index splits the city into three areas, Burnaby North, Burnaby South and Burnaby East, each with its own benchmark for detached homes, townhouses and apartments. Sales and new listings, by contrast, are counted for Burnaby as a whole. The numbers below are from GVR’s September 2026 package, published in October 2026; GVR releases no average sale price for Burnaby, and the market reports overview sets out what a benchmark measures. For the region around it, see the Vancouver housing market.
