Yukon Land Titles Fee Schedule

The Yukon charges three types of fees when you purchase property, all governed by the Land Titles Act.

Assurance Fee

The assurance fee only applies when the purchase price is greater than the property’s value at its last transfer:

  • $20 for the first $10,000 of additional declared value
  • $10 for each additional $10,000 thereafter

How to Calculate Yukon Fees

Example: For a $400,000 home with a $320,000 mortgage:

Property Transfer Fee: $150 (falls in the $100K-$500K tier)

Mortgage Registration Fee: $100 (falls in the $100K-$500K tier)

Total Yukon Fees: $150 + $100 = $250

This makes Yukon one of the most affordable places in Canada for property transfers.
