Who Is Primary Caregiver?

The primary caregiver is usually the mother, but can be:

  • Father (if living with child)
  • Grandparent
  • Guardian
  • Shared custody (50% each)

Shared Custody

If custody is 50/50:

  • Each parent receives 50% of CCB
  • Based on each parent’s income
  • Must notify CRA of arrangement
